From May to October 2024, the Fanikisha Kasarani II project, led by Kianda Foundation, equipped 122 women in Kasarani with essential business, cookery, and life skills. Designed to foster financial independence and holistic well-being, the program provided hands-on training in entrepreneurship, savings management, debt reduction, and income diversification—empowering women to take control of their futures. The impact has been transformative. Graduates reported increased earnings, improved financial management, and greater confidence. Many started or expanded their businesses, secured better employment, and strengthened family and community ties. The program’s unique blend of business training, cookery skills, and counselling created a strong foundation for personal and professional growth. Fanikisha Kasarani II is more than a training program—it’s a catalyst for lasting change. By equipping women with critical skills and a supportive network, the initiative is shaping resilient entrepreneurs and stronger communities. Kianda Foundation remains committed to expanding these opportunities, ensuring more women can turn aspirations into achievements.
