Kianda Foundation's Gatina and Maramba Nursery Schools, opened in 1995 in the tea and coffee plantations of Tigoni, Kiambu County, serve children of plantation workers. Hundreds of their pupils have gone on to primary school, and a donor-funded milk program gives every child milk each day.

Kianda Foundation supports girls in primary school in three ways. Faida Girls' Club offers guided study and tutorials for primary and secondary girls in Nairobi. The Children's Health Program (CHEP) gives schoolchildren check-ups, deworming and nutrition support, reaching 3,420 children in 2025.

Kianda School in Nairobi runs the Peperuka Scholarship Program, set up in 2011 for girls who cannot afford school fees. Kianda School is an all-girls secondary school that consistently ranks among Kenya's top 10 in the KCSE exams. Girls' clubs give girls a safe place to study, build character and take part in community life outside school hours. Faida Girls' Club, run by Kianda Foundation since 1977, offers supervised study and tutorials, community service visits, outings and holiday courses for primary and secondary girls. The Foundation's Chess Program for Girls builds strategic thinking and leadership in schools that lack extracurricular activities; its first 20 girls have been trained to start clubs of their own.

Kianda Foundation's Fanikisha program, running since 2003, gives women 6 months of business training, mentoring and counselling. It has trained over 4,000 women in 90 villages, including cohorts in Dagoretti, Kangemi and Kasarani, and more than 60% of participants increase their income by 60% averagely. In 2025, 324 women graduated from the program.

Kianda Foundation runs three. Fanikisha trains women in business, record-keeping, saving and marketing over six months, and has reached over 4,000 women since 2003. Kimlea Girls Technical Training College in Tigoni and the Kibondeni and Tewa colleges train young women for hospitality careers. The Foundation works in Nairobi, Kiambu and Kilifi .

Kimlea Clinic in Tigoni, Limuru, about 34 kilometers from Nairobi, serves tea plantation workers and their neighbors. Its team includes a doctor, nurses, a laboratory technician, a pharmaceutical technologist and a counsellor, and its permanent building opened in 2006. Fanikisha participants also receive professional counselling as part of their training.
