Kianda Foundation's activities include:
1. Education: Providing primary, secondary, and tertiary education for girls, and early childhood education in vulnerable nursery schools.
2. Health and Nutrition: Implementing programs for children and communities with limited access to healthcare.
3. Environment: Conducting various environmental programs and activities.
4. Youth Development: Offering leadership courses, personality and character development, social responsibility training, guidance and counselling, hygiene and nutrition courses, and affectivity and sexuality courses.
5. Women's Empowerment: Providing micro-entrepreneurship and business skills training, employability skills, income-generating activities, health and hygiene classes, mentorship and counselling support, HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention programs, cookery/nutrition courses, human rights and values courses, and parenting courses.
6. Emergency Support: Facilitating access to basic needs during emergencies that threaten livelihoods.
Kianda Foundation has established several projects, including:
1. Educational Projects: Kianda School and two nursery schools within tea plantations.
2. Vocational Training Schools: Kimlea Girls’ Technical Training Centre, Kibondeni College, and Tewa Training Centre (now under Nurisha Trust).
3. Women Empowerment Programs: Fanikisha Project (Business Women Support Program) and Kimlea Business Centre.
4. Cultural Centers: Fanusi Study Centre and Faida Centre.
5. Health Projects: Kimlea Medical Clinic and Children’s Health Program (CHEP).
6. Community Projects: 'Smartika Mimi' (Hygiene & Nutrition program in schools) and 'Tekeleza Program' (Leadership Program for the youth).
