This 3 YEAR EVALUATION REPORT highlights the transformative impact of the Mwangaza Project, a collaboration between Kianda Foundation and Wonder Foundation, which empowered 800 marginalized women in Kenya through vocational training, business skills development, and personalized mentorship. The initiative significantly improved income levels, self-confidence, and financial independence, breaking cycles of poverty and fostering long-term resilience. From May 2021 to May 2024, Mwangaza provided essential support through accredited hospitality training, business development programs, and mentorship networks. As a result, 81% of participants increased their income, hundreds launched or expanded businesses, and many secured stable employment in the hospitality sector. Despite challenges such as rising living costs and employment barriers, the project demonstrated the power of targeted, holistic interventions in women’s economic empowerment. The report underscores the need for continued investment in mentorship, financial support, and scalable training programs to sustain and expand this impact.
